Man United Boss Jose Mourinho Makes Huge Alexis Sanchez Transfer Claim

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has admitted signing Alexis Sanchez during the January transfer window was not his preference.

Sanchez arrived at Old Trafford three months ago in a deal that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan head in the opposite direction to join Arsenal.

And, after a slow start to life at United, he’s started to show what he’s truly capable of, particularly in last weekend’s comeback win over Manchester City.

Alexis Sanchez provided two assists at the Etihad and was instrumental in the build-up to Paul Pogba’s first goal which gave United a route back into the game.

Mourinho has now revealed he expects the Chilean to perform to the best of his ability next season while discussing the impact he’s had so far.

And he’s admitted the transfer that took Sanchez To Manchester United Was not the kind of deal he’d usually look to secure due to its timing.

"Hopefully next season he will be better, which is what we think is going to happen," said Mourinho.

"I am not a big fan of buying players in the winter market because of the period of adaptation especially with attackers.

"But, he’s obviously improving and getting more comfortable with the team."

Jose Mourinho Will be eager for Sanchez to impress when United take on bottom-of-the-table West Brom at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The 29-year-old failed to score in the two appearances he made against the Baggies for Arsenal earlier this season.
