Ian Rush: Roberto Firmino More Important Than Mohamed Salah At Liverpool

Roberto Firmino is Liverpool’s most important player ahead of Mohamed Salah.

That is the view Of Liverpool Legend Ian Rush.

Firmino and Salah along with Sadio Mane have been part of a formidable front tree that has scored an incredible 73 goals this season.

Salah has 37 goals on his own and his hotly tipped to contend for the major end of season awards.

In comparison, Firmino has been just as effective with his tireless pressing from front dovetailing with Mane and Salah and Rush believes the Brazilian doesn’t get enough credit, claiming the 26-year-old is a player any manager would love.

"Everyone knows how amazing Mohamed Salah is but if you're looking at one player Liverpool rely on it's Bobby Firmino," Rush Told Sky Sports News.

"With his closing down he reminds me a little bit of myself.

“Not only does he work hard for the team, he's also very skilful - he does everything.

"He may not be regularly getting 30 goals a season but he makes the opposition make mistakes.

“He is a rare breed of a Brazilian and I think his talents suit the Premier League down to a T.

"He is tireless, every manager would lovea player like that in his team. We are very, very lucky that we have him in our side."
